If you are researching Auburn sorority recruitment, you will probably come across the term Ice Water Teas.
This is Auburn’s first round of Primary Recruitment.
Ice Water Teas is a virtual video round. In the 2026 process, PNMs watched videos created by Auburn’s 18 Panhellenic chapters, giving them an introduction to each sorority’s values, philanthropy, campus involvement, and sisterhood. (Auburn Alpha Omicron Pi)

Auburn Sorority Recruitment Registration

Auburn’s current registration process asks PNMs to provide:
- Résumé information
- High school and applicable college transcripts
- A high-quality photo
- Optional ACT/SAT scores
- Written responses to questions
- A recruitment video

Auburn Sorority Recruitment Résumé
Your résumé is another important part of your Auburn recruitment preparation.

- Academic accomplishments
- Interests and hobbies
Your résumé does not need to make you look like you have done everything.

Your goal is not to sound rehearsed. It is to help the chapters begin getting to know you.
Auburn Sorority Recruitment Rounds
Ice Water Teas
Ice Water Teas is the first round and is virtual.
PNMs are introduced to Auburn’s Panhellenic chapters through chapter videos, while chapters have the opportunity to learn more about PNMs through their submitted videos.
Philanthropy Round
Philanthropy Round is the first opportunity for PNMs to meet chapters in person.
In the 2026 schedule, Philanthropy Round took place over three days. The focus moves beyond the initial video introduction and gives PNMs the opportunity to learn more about each chapter’s philanthropy, involvement, and members. (Student Affairs)
Sisterhood Round
Sisterhood Round gives PNMs another opportunity to learn about the chapters they are invited back to and to have more personal conversations.
This is a time to pay attention to how you feel when you are with the women in the chapter.
Do you enjoy the conversations?
Can you see yourself spending time with these women?
Does the chapter feel like a place where you could become involved and build friendships?
Preference Round
Preference Round is the final round of Auburn’s Primary Recruitment process.
These conversations are typically more personal and meaningful, and PNMs should take time to think about the chapters they visit and what they are looking for in their college experience.
You do not need to walk into recruitment knowing exactly which sorority you will choose.
Recruitment is a mutual-selection process.
Bid Day
Bid Day is the final step in Primary Recruitment.
In 2026, Auburn welcomed 2,289 new members into its 18 Panhellenic chapters, making it the university’s largest formal recruitment process to date. (Student Affairs)
It is a big day, but remember that the goal of recruitment is not simply to receive the most popular bid or choose a chapter based on what someone else thinks you should do.
It is about finding a community where you can see yourself growing, contributing, making friendships, and becoming part of Auburn.
Auburn Sorority Recruitment Recommendations
Recommendations are not required to participate in Auburn Primary Recruitment or to receive a bid.
If you have alumnae connections, it is a good idea to begin thinking about recommendations early rather than waiting until registration is almost over.

Your social media is part of your digital first impression.

The goal is not to spend the most money or wear every current trend.
Choose clothing that:

You want to feel like yourself, just ready for the occasion.

One of the biggest things I tell the girls I work with is this:
Recruitment is a conversation, not an interview.
You do not need a list of perfect answers or have a script.
Think about the experiences, activities, people, and interests that have shaped you.
Be prepared to talk about things like:
- Where you’re from
- Your family
- High school
- Activities and sports
- Academic interests
- Hobbies
- Leadership
- Community involvement
- What you’re excited about at Auburn
- What you’re looking for in your college experience
Most importantly, listen.
A good conversation is not about talking as much as possible. It is about connecting, asking questions, sharing pieces of yourself, and allowing someone else to get to know you.
What Should Auburn PNMs Know Before Recruitment?
There are a few things I wish every PNM understood before starting recruitment.
You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room, have designer clothes, or a huge social media following.
And you definitely do not need to become a different version of yourself to fit into a sorority.
You do need to be prepared.
Know the process and your own experiences.
Have your materials organized.
Be ready for conversations.
And give yourself enough time to feel comfortable with the process before recruitment begins.

You do not need to wait until summer 2027 to start.
If you are currently a high school senior planning to attend Auburn, there are simple things you can begin doing now.
Start keeping track of your activities and accomplishments.
Think about what you want your résumé to include.
Take a look at your social media.
Start thinking about the kinds of friendships and college experience you want.
Learn about Auburn’s Panhellenic community.
And as registration gets closer, begin working through your résumé, written responses, recruitment video, wardrobe, and conversation preparation.
The goal is not to spend the next year worrying about recruitment.
