When I went through sorority recruitment back in the early 90s, the entire experience looked completely different. There were no curated social media feeds, no resumes formatted to perfection, and certainly no need to worry about digital first impressions. Back then, the idea of a sorority recruitment coach was unheard of, but today having one can make all the difference in navigating rush with confidence. You showed up with an outfit you chose from your closet that morning, a smile, and excitement for sisterhood.
Fast forward to today, and the sorority recruitment process has evolved in major ways. Modern recruitment moves faster, feels more formal, and can be overwhelming for many PNMs (Potential New Members). Now, girls must think about social media branding, recommendation letters, conversation skills, networking, and how to balance long days with quick decisions. Add the pressure of social platforms, and it is a lot to manage alone.

As I watched my own daughter and several other young women navigate college sorority recruitment at a large Southern school, I quickly realized something: many of these girls are simply not prepared for rush. Some girls sail through immediately, while others face unexpected challenges, tough cuts, or shifts that feel deeply personal. That’s exactly why I decided to step in.
Over time, I began offering informal guidance as a sorority recruitment coach, helping PNMs understand what to expect before they walked into each round. We worked on conversation skills, social media presence, resume support, outfit planning, mindset strategies, and how to stay confident when things change quickly—because they will.

The difference was clear: the girls I helped felt calm, prepared, and excited for each day. They understood the terminology, the flow, and how to remain authentic, something houses truly notice. Then, Bid Day arrived, and so did the smiles, happy tears, and sense of belonging that every PNM hopes for.
Seeing these young women succeed with the information, preparation, and encouragement I’ve provided is incredibly rewarding. No PNM should feel lost, alone, or unsure during such a life-changing week-a sorority recruitment coach can guide and support you every step of the way.
Today’s recruitment landscape has changed, but the heart of sisterhood hasn’t. It’s still about connection, community, and finding your forever home.
